Hizavi Architecture Interior Company is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles. This role will support the finance department with essential accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process invoices and payments for multiple entities.
- Monitor various checking accounts to maintain accuracy.
- Handle cash receipts and prepare them for deposits.
- Assist in processing biweekly payrolls through ADP.
- Enter financial transactions into the accounting system.
- Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
- Collaborate with other team members within the department.
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting entries, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Compile and analyze financial data such as general ledger accounts and document transactions.
- Assist in quarterly sales and use tax filings.
- Provide guidance to staff on accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage vendor W-9s and handle 1099 reporting and processing.
- Provide weekly accounting updates to management.
- Communicate with staff and vendors regarding payment procedures, budget codes, invoices, and payments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Familiarity with journal entries and general accounting practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with experience in ADP being a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and confidential approach.
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
